Eligibility details:

Qualifications in education:

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

• TGT (English) : English as a subject in all three years of graduation and B.Ed with English as a teaching subject.
• TGT (Social Science): Graduation in any two of the following subjects in at least two years: History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, one of which must be either History or Geography, and B.Ed. with Social Science or any subject of Social Science as a teaching subject.
• TGT (Hindi/Sanskrit): Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in all three years of graduation and B.Ed.
• TGT (Mathematics / Physics): Mathematics and Physics in at least two years of graduation and a B.Ed. with science as a teaching subject.
• TGT (Bio / Chemistry): Two years of Chemistry and Botany/Zoology in Graduation and a B.Ed.

PET (TGT):

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (four years) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks OR equivalent CGPA. OR A Degree in Physical Education with a minimum of 50% marks after three years of graduation in any subject and proficiency in teachirtg in English medium.

(Art) TGT:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (BFA) Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) or an equivalent four-year degree from a recognised university.
• A three-year diploma in Drawing and Painting / Sculpture / Graphic Art / Applied Art from a UGC-approved university is required.
• Proficiency in English medium teaching.

Teacher of Preparation:

• Pass Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (obtained by conversion to percentage in accordance with corresponding University / Institution’s norms)
• Diploma in Nursery Teachers Education, Pre-School Education Early Childhood Education Program, or an equivalent qualification.
• All of the above courses must last at least two years.
• Bachelor of Education (Nursery) from a National Council for Teacher Education-accredited institution.
• English is offered as a subject at +2.
• It is necessary to be able to teach in English.

Primary School Teachers:

PRT :

• Pass Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA with English as a subject in +2 level and two years Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognised institution.
• Pass the Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% in aggregate or equivalent CGPA with English as a subject at the +2 level and a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from a recognised institution.
• Pass Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA with English.
• The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (Paper-I) was held by the CBSE.

(Telugu) PRT:

• 50% pass marks in Intermediate Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test Intermediate OR its equivalent with Telugu as a subject in +2 level and two years Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognised institution.
• 50% in Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or Intermediate OR its equivalent with Telugu as a subject in +2 level and four years Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from a recognised institution. OR 50% Pass in Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or Intermediate or its equivalent with Telugu as a subject in +2 level and two years Diploma in Education (D.Ed) from a Recognized Institution.
• Teaching Telugu as a second or third language up to class VIII, as well as knowledge of Telugu grammar.

Age Limit (as of April 1, 2023):

PRT/Preparatory Teacher: 30 years. TGT: 35 years.

Age Reduction:

• SC/ST: five years
• 03 years OBC
• 10 years for women
• Physically challenged: According to government guidelines.

AECS Recruitment 2023 Selection Process:

Written and skill tests are part of the selection process.

Written Exam:

• Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited to the Written Exam.
• The screening will take the form of an objective type of test (MCQs) for 50 marks in the respective subject over the course of 1 1/2 hours.
• Candidates with a score of 50% or higher (Gen) and 45% or higher (SC/ST/BC/Phy.Chal) will be considered for the Skill test.

Test of Ability:

• Shortlisted candidates from the Written Test will be eligible for the Skill Test, which will be held on the same day.
• Candidates will be appointed based on written and skill tests.
