APSC Recruitment 2023 for Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer positions has been declared. The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) sought applications for the following positions to fill 317 vacancies. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech/Diploma degree may apply for these jobs.

Eligibility details:
Qualifications in education:
Engineer Assistant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a government-approved Indian or international university. OR Passed Part A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) Associate Membership Examination and having a certificate to that effect only from the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Degrees acquired through distance education are ineligible.
- Except for candidates from the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, the candidate must be fluent in at least one legal language of the state of Assam (Assamese/Bengali/Bodo).
Engineer, Junior:
- Candidates must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering & Planning from a government-approved technical school.
- The Diplomas/classes must be a Regular classes.
- Diplomas/Courses acquired through Distance Education, under any name, will not be accepted.
- Except for candidates from the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, the candidate must be fluent in at least one legal language of the state of Assam (Assamese/Bengali/Bodo).
Age Restrictions (as of January 1, 2023):
- Assistant Engineer: Minimum age of 21 and maximum age of 38
- Junior Engineer: Minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 38.
Age Reduction:
Engineer Assistant:
- SC/STP/STH applicants have a maximum of 5 years and can be up to 43 years old.
- OBC/MOBC applicants may be up to 41 years old.
- 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), i.e. up to 48 years for SC/ST/OBC and General Category applicants
- 12 years for Ex-Servicemen applicants, i.e. up to 50 years for unreserved candidates
- 15 years for Ex-Servicemen applicants, i.e. up to 53 years regardless of OBC or MOBC status.
- Ex-servicemen applicants can be up to 55 years old, regardless of whether they are SC or ST.
Engineer, Junior:
- For SC/STP/STH applicants, the maximum S(five) years is 43 years.
- Ex-servicemen applicants can be up to 55 years old, regardless of whether they are SC or ST.
Salary:
- Assistant Engineer Salary: Rs.30,000-1,10,000 per month
- Junior Engineer: 14,000-49,000 rupees per month

APSC Recruitment 2023 Selection Process:
At the time of the interview, candidates must bring a hardcopy of the online application, the original documents/certificates, self-attested copies, and any other items mentioned in the intimation letter/admit card.
