Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), formerly known as Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has issued a job advertisement for the recruitment of Graduate Apprentices (Electrical Trade) for a one-year term under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are 7 vacancies for these positions. Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) degree are eligible to apply. All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply by December 31, 2022. The eligibility and selection process are detailed below.

Eligibility Details:
Educational Qualification:
- Any Indian citizen who has completed a Graduate in Engineering in the relevant specialisation from an institute recognised by AICTE, Government of India, is eligible to apply.
- Candidates with higher qualifications, such as M.Tech or equivalent, will be disqualified.
Note:
- Candidates who have completed (date of final examination result) within two years of the closing date of application and are medically fit as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961, are eligible to apply for apprenticeship in NLDC, Grid India (POSOCO).
- Candidates are ineligible to apply for apprenticeship if any of the following conditions are met:
- They are awaiting the results of their final exam.
- Not yet reached the age of 18.
- Apprenticeship training in any organisation for any length of time
- More than a year of work experience
The training will last:
- The apprenticeship training period will last one year, and the contract will be automatically terminated upon completion of the apprenticeship training period. Shortlisted candidates must provide an undertaking that they will not seek employment after completing their training.
- This apprenticeship training will begin on February 1, 2023.
Age limit (31 December 2022):
- 18 – 28 years.
Age Relaxation:
- A relaxation in upper age is admissible as per the Govt of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PH.
Grid-India Recruitment Selection Process:
- Candidates will be chosen on merit based on their performance in the qualifying exam, document verification, and interview.
Note:
- If two or more candidates receive equal marks while preparing the merit list, the candidate with the older age will be given preference.
- The list of provisionally shortlisted candidates will be published on the Grid-India official website under the ‘Engagement of Apprentice’ section in the ‘Career tab’.
How to Apply for Grid-India Jobs 2022?
All Interested and Eligible candidates can apply from 10 December to 31 December 2022 . They must register themselves (as a candidate) in the NATS website.
