Income Tax Recruitment 2023 Meritorious Sportsperson Notification has been issued for the positions of Tax Assistant / MTS / Inspector in a variety of disciplines. Qualifications in education:

For the Income Tax Inspector:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university or the equivalent

For Tax Advisers:

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or the equivalent is required. 8000 key depressions per hour data entry speed

For Multi-Tasking Employees:

• Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university/board

Eligibility for Sports:

• In descending order of preference, proficiency will be assessed using the following criteria:
• Sportspersons who have represented their state or country in a National or International Competition in any of the games/sports.The State Schools Team in the National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by All India School Federation in any of the games/sports.
• Note: The best three performances in the calendar years 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2018 (after January 1, 2018) will be evaluated.

Age Limit (as of March 17, 2023):

• 18 – 30 years old for Income Tax Inspector
• 18 to 27 years old for Tax Assistant
• Staff with Multitasking Experience: 18 to 25 Years

Upper age can be relaxed by:

• Up to 5 years for OBC/General
• Up to ten years for SC/ST
• Departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in the Central Government are eligible to apply up to the age of 40 (45 for SC/ST candidates).

2023 Income Tax Recruitment Selection Process:

• The selection process consists of a written test and an interview.
• The hiring process will be divided into two stages.
• During the first phase, all candidates will be ranked according to their preference for the position applied for, based on their achievements in sports/games.
• It is stated that field trials will be held, and performance in the field trials will also be considered for ranking purposes.
• Candidates who are deemed unfit in the field trials will not be considered for appointment.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test in the second phase.
• Candidates will be required to appear at their own expense for the same.
• The written examination for the position of Income Tax Inspectors/Tax Assistants/Multi-Tasking Assistants has been completed.
