TPSC Recruitment 2022 – The Tripura Public Service Commission invites online applications from Indian citizens for the positions of Assistant Engineer/CDPO/Supervisor in a variety of disciplines. The eligibility and selection process are detailed below.

Qualification in Education:
Assistant Mechanical and Civil Engineer:
- Degree in Agriculture Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognised university with at least 2(two) years service experience in the respective field of Engineering under the Government or a Government undertaking.
- Candidates with a Postgraduate Degree in Engineering will be given priority.
Age limit: 18 to 40 years old (as of 14.03.2023)
Relaxation of age:
- 05 years if you are a ST/SC/PH.
- All candidate categories – 02 years
There are four open positions
- Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) – one position
- Assistant Engineer (Civil) – three positions
Assistant Engineer selection procedure:
The selection procedure is based on the results of the preliminary examination, written examination, and interview.
Preliminary Test:
(MCQ) with 100 points. On the basis of the Preliminary Examination results, a limited number of candidates, no more than 05(five) times the total number of posts (category wise), will be selected meritoriously. Only those candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination will be eligible for the Main Examination.
- The paper will be of the Objective type, with 100 Multiple Choice questions, and will last 2 hours.
- 10 points for English composition
- 10 points for general knowledge and current events of local, national, and international significance.
- 80 marks for engineering aptitude (in a related field).
- Negative marking will follow TPSC guidelines.
Examined in writing:
The main (written) exam is worth 500 points. The minimum cut off marks to qualify for the main examination are 40% in aggregate for UR candidates and 30% in aggregate for Reserved Category candidates. The candidates who are chosen based on the results of the Main (Written) Examination will be allowed to take the Interview and Personality Test.
General Studies (100 points) – 1 hour duration
Optional (any two of the following papers in the relevant engineering field):
- Each paper is worth 200 points and lasts three hours.
- Paper I in Civil Engineering
- Paper-II in Civil Engineering
- Paper I in Mechanical Engineering
- Paper II in Mechanical Engineering
An interview-cum-personality test worth 50 points.
- Candidates who obtained qualifying marks in the Main (written part) of the examination will be subjected to an interview-style personality test by the commission.
- The purpose of the interview or personality test is to assess a candidate’s personal qualities, such as his intellectual ability, social traits, interest in current affairs, critical judgement, variety and depth of interest, ability to lead, moral integrity, and so on.
Note:
- Final selection shall be made in order of merit on the basis of a candidate’s aggregate marks in the Main (written) examination and the marks obtained by him/her in the interview cum personality test, as well as other TPSC rules and regulations.

How to Apply for TPSC Jobs 2023?
Candidates who are interested and eligible must register their bio-data particulars on the Commission’s website using One Time Profile Registration (OTPR). When an applicant registers his or her information, a User ID is generated and sent to the applicant’s registered mobile number and email address. Applicants must apply for the position using the OTPR User ID via the Commission’s website by March 14, 2023.
